PhD in Vedic Hindu Studies

The Ph.D. in Hindu Studies at Vedic Hindu University is a rigorous and comprehensive research program designed to explore the diverse dimensions of Hindu philosophy, culture, and traditions. Students will develop proficiency in classical languages such as Sanskrit, as well as modern languages relevant to their research.

Eligibility Criteria

– Minimum criteria are 55% or 2.2/4.0 GPA or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA) in master`'`s Degree.

– Students from any stream i.e., Humanities/Sciences/Engineering/Management/Law etc. can apply for the programme. The students have to submit the followings:


  1. Self-Introduction/Bio-Note Statement (Not more than 250 words)
  2. Statement of Purpose (SoP)
    • Why do you want to study at Vedic Hindu University. (100 words)
    • The reasons for choosing the programme (300 – 500 words)
  3. Proof of proficiency in English is required for students coming from non-English speaking countries/medium. TOEFL/IELTS or any other standard certification in English. The candidate having full-time degree-level course entirely taught and assessed in English need not submit any certificate.

Team will review your application to ensure it meets the requirements and will conduct an interview as part of the verification process.

Application Interview & Fee Payment

After successful interview, you will be asked to make the payment for the first year and after payment you will be able to see the receipt in your LMS.

Ready to Join VHU

After all the steps are complete, you are ready to join VHU classes and can have the academic freedom to explore more.
